** Important Note for iOS Devices**
Gadget Tree Tech Services is not an Apple-authorized service provider, and any non-genuine parts warnings present on repaired devices cannot be removed, even when genuine parts are used in the repair.
Gadget Tree Tech Services also accepts no responsibility for Apple-specific features including but not limited to TouchID, and FaceID. In some cases, after performing a replacement of parts on an iOS device, these features may no longer function.
The Gadget Tree Guarantee - Repairs
Coverage
We stand behind our work, and will cover defects or damages proven to result from the repair work during the warranty period of 90 days from time of purchase. During the Warranty Period, Gadget Tree Tech Services will, at no charge, rectify the issue(s) with the device or any part(s) of a device that prove defective or damaged due to improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
Claim Resolution
Gadget Tree Tech Services will replace the defective part(s) causing the issue with aftermarket components held to comparable standards as original components, at no charge to the customer. In the case of unresolvable issues, Gadget Tree Tech Services will, at its sole discretion, either
i. Replace the device with a used or refurbished device of comparable condition.
OR
ii. Pay out the customer at fair value for a comparable used or refurbished device.
Warranty Period
The warranty period covers defects that are brought to our attention within 90 days of original transaction.
Exceptions and Limitations
This Limited Warranty will not cover issues arising from pre-existing damages or defects. Gadget Tree Tech Services accepts no liability for personal data, software, and anything not related to the hardware of the repaired device.
No warranty will apply to any devices with evidence of the following:
i. Moisture or liquid in or on the device
ii. Neglect, abuse, or physical damage
Gadget Tree Tech Services claims no liability for losses or damages incurred by loss of use from the repaired device, and cannot be held responsible for any circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to shipping times, or stock availability. Gadget Tree Tech Services also cannot be held liable for any shipping or transportation costs that may be associated with seeking warranty coverage - not including shipping charges for parts or components which are the sole responsibility of Gadget Tree Tech Services.
Loaner Devices
Loaner devices may be available as a courtesy, at the sole discretion of Gadget Tree Tech Services. Availability is not guaranteed, and makes no part of this warranty. A security deposit may be required, subject to the Loaner Device agreement at the time.
Submitting a Claim
To seek warranty coverage, Gadget Tree Tech Services must be informed of the issue within the 90 day warranty period, and within a reasonable time after issues arise. The device must then be brought in for additional servicing to rectify the issue(s.) Mail-in warranty coverage may be available at the sole discretion of Gadget Tree Tech Services, and will be subject to any applicable shipping charges in accordance with the mail-in repair policy at that time.
The Gadget Tree Guarantee - New / Refurbished Devices
Coverage
We stand behind our products, and will cover defects during the warranty period of 90 days from time of purchase. During the Warranty Period, Gadget Tree Tech Services will, at no charge, rectify the issue(s) with the device or any part(s) of a device that prove defective or damaged due to improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
Claim Resolution
Gadget Tree Tech Services will replace the defective part(s) causing the issue at no charge to the customer. In the case of unresolvable issues, Gadget Tree Tech Services will, at its sole discretion, either
i. Replace the device with another of similar quality and value
ii. Refund defective products
Due to factors including but not limited to stock availability or component pricing, Gadget Tree Tech Services may, at its sole discretion, replace defective components with other similar components of comparable performance. These components are to be in the same condition as the device was sold in, or better: refurbished devices may have defective components replaced with refurbished or new OEM/aftermarket components; new devices may have defective components replaced with new OEM/aftermarket components (or components from another OEM, as applicable.)

Loaner Devices

Brand New Devices
In the case of products sold as brand new, the product will be exchanged with another like unit as soon as reasonably possible for any claims made within the first 14 days of original purchase. Beyond this, all reasonable attempts must be made to seek warranty coverage through the original equipment manufacturer. Gadget Tree Tech Services will not be liable for any costs associated with seeking warranty coverage through the original equipment manufacturer, including but not limited to shipping or taxes. Claims brought to the attention of Gadget Tree Tech Services within our 90 day limited warranty, and subsequently made to the manufacturer for repair/replacement of the device remain covered for any associated labour until such time as the claim with the manufacturer is resolved.
Submitting a Claim
To seek warranty coverage, Gadget Tree Tech Services must be informed of the issue within the warranty period, and within a reasonable time after issues arise. The device must then be brought into the store for servicing to rectify the issue(s.)
Return / Exchange Policy
Products may be returned in original packaging and in sellable condition within 15 days from date of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Defective products may be exchanged as above within 30 days. A restocking fee of not more than 15% of the item's value will apply for returns.
**For sanitary reasons, some products including but not limited to earbuds, headphones, and headsets, may not be eligible for return or exchange unless defective.**
Data Security / Privacy Policy
It is the sole responsibility of the client to back up any personal data before allowing repairs to be performed on any device to protect from any potential data loss.
Gadget Tree Tech Services will not browse through any personal, private or confidential information or data; however, technicians may inadvertently see data during the course of their work. Any confidential data should be removed from the device prior to having repair work performed on the device.
No unauthorized copies of data will be made, and any drives used to backup files during repair work are to be kept in a secured container, as well as wiped periodically and/or immediately reused and written over.
For recycled devices: components are wiped and/or destroyed before recycling to ensure data security.
For online accounts/profiles: work is to be performed in Incognito Mode, and it is recommended to change passwords and/or activate 2-Factor Authentication after work is complete.

What Devices Do You Work On?
We are equipped to service desktop PCs and iMacs, laptops/Macbooks, most mobile devices, (iPhones/Androids, Tablets, etc) as well as most game consoles (including controllers.) We do not currently service TVs.
How Long Will My Repair Take?
For most mobile device repairs, it will be done same-day; often within an hour or so. With computers and consoles, certain tasks may reach into the following day.
Usually the longest wait is for shipping parts in - but we are happy to Overnight ship where possible, so if you're in a rush: just let us know!
I Want to Cut Back on E-Waste, Help!
This is a very real concern for many, especially here in our beautiful coastal community. Goal number one as a repair provider is to keep devices in service as long as possible - that's step one!

Fair enough, we recognize our parking lot isn't ideal. We do however have a parking lot in behind the building off of Church Road in case the front lot is crowded.
